The Inn has been owned and operated by Joyce Henderson and Bill Pierce since 1985.  Located in the mountains above Middlebury, The Chipman Inn is small, informal and very comfortable; we emphasize hospitality and personal service. Our eight guest rooms have private baths and are individually furnished with attractive antiques. Most guest rooms are air conditioned. Wireless internet is available if you have a laptop.

     The inn's main lounge, with its private bar (beer and wine ) and original kitchen hearth, provides a relaxing atmosphere. Other public rooms include a sunny reading room and dining room decorated with colonial stenciling. We have a television lounge with satellite  hook-up, but as the inn is full of books our guests usually seem to  prefer curling up with a good read.  One of our two cats may join you.
